Stanislav Jabinski

My main interests are reconstructing Paleoenvironments by applying microbial membrane biomarkers and analyzing microbial activity and metabolism by applying Stable Isotope Probing (SIP) experiments. I have experience in analyzing these biomarkers with different techniques, such as GC-FID/MS/IRMS, LC-QToF-MS, QQQ and FTICR-MS. Also, developing new methods for analyzing biomarkers takes a big part of my working experience. My research focuses on determining and quantifying microbial and fungal C-turnover rates and mechanisms in soil and aquatic ecosystems by applying dual stable isotope probing (δ¹³C + δ²H).
