Workpackage 1 - Time series stations

Instrumentation in the challenging environment of the surf zone is the prerequisite for all the planned work. WP1 is in charge of ensuring the technical implementation and faces the important challenge of providing safely the technical equipment in this shallow on a long-term basis.

Major tasks of workpackage 1:

• Development and installation of three networks of time series stations at different types of coastal zones (study sites Boltenhagen, Nienhagen)
• Setting up a basic infrastructure for the campaign-based sampling of WP 2 and WP 3
• Reliable provision of basic physical, biological, and chemical in-situ parameters for the remaining work packages
