As MSc thesis, I developed a new 2D Depth-averaged numerical model (DaCiM) to compute tide-induced Circulatory velocity field and flushing in marinas. I deployed Alternating Direction Implicit (ADI) scheme on a staggered grid based on Finite Volume Method. To increase accuracy of calculating of the fluxes I used a second order scheme and some turbulence depth-averaged models.
For my current project, I want to use and to further develop novel analysis tools for numerical mixing and dissipation to quantify effective mixing and dissipation, given by the sum of explicitly parameterized and numerically induced values.
