Die Zeitreihen der Kiel276 auf (33oN, 22oW), die sich von 1980 bis in die Gegenwart erstrecken, stellen weltweit einen einzigartigen Datensatz dar. Dieser ermöglicht es im Rahmen des Projektes basierend auf in-situ Beobachtungen Analysen bezüglich der dekadischen und interdekadischen Variabilität von physikalischen und biogeochemischen Parametern durchzuführen und diese in Zusammenhang mit einer möglichen Klimavariabilität zu intepretieren. Das Projekt wird durch die DFG unter WA2175/5-1 finanziert (7/2011-6/2014).
