Expedition has started!

On June 2, the next expedition in the MGF Baltic Sea project has started. Goal: extensive inventory of the geoacoustic and geochemical composition of the seabed of the marine protected areas Oderbank and Fehmarnbelt and the inhabiting organisms living there.

Kickoff meeting of scientists on 1/2.12.2020


On 1/2.12.2020 the long awaited kickoff meeting of the MGF North Sea - and MGF Baltic Sea - scientists finally took place. Due to the Corona pandemic, the meeting, which was actually planned for spring 2020, had to be postponed to autumn and now took place virtually. The content of the meeting was mainly about the current status of the work and first results. Around 70 participants, including guests from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and the project management attended the meeting.
