The SEADITO project develops a targeted set of analytical methods and tools in collaboration with end users to support the development of the European Digital Twin of Oceans (EU DTO) into a comprehensive platform for making decisions towards the goal of healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters by 2030. The IOW will contribute in particular to the development of integrated ecological and socio-economic models and indicators to assess the impact of environmental change, policy alternatives, and management decisions; the development of participatory processes and tools for effective stakeholder engagement and what-if scenarios on social-ecological links and policy options; and will lead the work package on case studies, with a focus on the German case study in Greifswald Bay that is concerned with the social-ecological impacts of coastal renewable energy.
