Expertise

I am interested in remote sensing and marine optics. Especially, I investigate the influence of Saharan dust on optical water properties, on phytoplankton development and on Level-2 products of ocean color and microwave sensors. Furthermore, my work is focused on the investigation of sulphur plumes at Namibian coast and on validation of satellite sensors. My field work is concentrated in the Baltic Sea, NW-Africa and the Namibian waters.
